A WINTER WEDDING. A LIVE BAND. A SAXOPHONIST. AND A LOT OF CHAOS.
When Lizzie and her Husband (!) chose Pentney Abbey for their December wedding, they wanted the evening to turn into a proper party. So that’s exactly what we built: a four-piece live wedding band, professional DJ service, a full club-classics saxophone set, old-school garage and two hours of high-energy live music.
Set in the Norfolk countryside near King’s Lynn, Pentney Abbey is a spectacular historic wedding venue and a brilliant setting for live wedding entertainment.
THE VENUE — PENTNEY ABBEY
Pentney Abbey combines serious wow-factor with a celebration space that works brilliantly for a proper evening party. The barn gives a live band, DJ and saxophonist room to create atmosphere while keeping guests right in the middle of the action.

This wasn’t a case of turning up, playing two sets and disappearing. The entertainment was designed to build throughout the evening so there was always something happening.
8:00PM — FIRST DANCE & LIVE BAND
The evening began with Lizzie and her partner’s first dance to Luther Vandross — Always and Forever, using the Royal Albert Hall version. The track was planned in advance to fade before Luther begins speaking near the end, giving them exactly the first-dance moment they wanted.
From there, the four-piece band launched straight into the first 60-minute live set. Big songs. Big choruses. No background-music energy.
9:45PM — SAX + OLD-SCHOOL GARAGE
Then the night changed gear completely. The brief was simple: OLD. SCHOOL. GARAGE.
Our saxophonist hit the party for a full 60-minute club-classics set, combining live sax with huge garage and dance tracks. Band → DJ → Sax → Band keeps the energy moving instead of letting the dance floor disappear during a break.
A SPECIAL DAD & DAUGHTER MOMENT
Before the wedding, Lizzie’s mum Jacky contacted us about arranging a Dad and Daughter dance to Post Malone — Yours. Rather than placing it immediately after the couple’s first dance, we saved it for the beginning of the second live set so it had its own moment later in the evening.
Those personal details are exactly why we plan the entertainment around the couple rather than forcing every wedding into the same running order.
10:45PM — THE FINAL LIVE SET
By 10:45pm there was only one job left: FINISH BIG. The band returned for another full hour of live music, taking the party through to 11:45pm.
